DEUTZ BRUT CLASSIC CHAMPAGNE
Cote des Blancs, Montagne de Reims, Vallee de la Marne, France | 12% | 1500ml
Grape: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier
The Deutz Brut Classic is the most eclectic of the Deutz range. It owes its exceptionally well-balanced character to a harmonious blend of the three Champagne varietals: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. It performs a gracious ballet of elegant bubbles within its golden hue. This exceptionally expressive cuvée discloses floral notes underpinned by toasty aromas, marzipan and ripe fruit. Its smooth texture reveals the perfect balance between the freshness of Chardonnay, the fruitiness of Pinot Noir and a vinous touch brought by the Pinot Meunier.
Formerly known as Deutz Geldermann, a Champagne producer based in the Aÿ region of Champagne, was founded in 1838 and run by successive generations of the Deutz and Geldermann families.
Deutz produces both vintage and non-vintage cuvée as well as a prestige wine known as Amour de Deutz. In 1983, the house was acquired by Rouzaud family and Deutz owns holding in the Bordeaux wine estate of Chateau Vernous and the Rhone estate of Delas Freres.
